Prairie Feast is here!

The months of editing and waiting and editing are over! My first copies of Prairie Feast arrived yesterday. Hubby and I celebrated with a truly local meal - Berkshire pork chops, potatoes fried with onions and green peppers, cucumber salad and, for dessert, chocolates (oops, make that 95% local) and a glass of bubbly wine!

Copies of Prairie Feast should be showing up in local bookstores just as soon as they get them on the shelf, and also available from the publisher Coteau Books.

Opening Act - Elizabeth Shepherd

What a great gig! My book and I will be the "opening act" for Juno-nominee Elizabeth Shepherd at a house concert at The Hayloft in Saskatoon. The Hayloft is the most amazing home and intimate concert venue of singer-songwriter Carrie Catherine and her husband Curtis Olson.

When: Tuesday, June 1, 7 pm
Where: The Hayloft
Tickets: $20
For info and tickets visit The Hayloft website

By the way, Curtis's aunt and uncle, chefs Anna and Michael Olson, wrote a marvellously touching endoresment for my book. Read it here.
