Prairie Feast is the best selling book at McNally Robinson in Saskatoon!

My book and I were guests of honour at a special dinner at McNally Robinson Booksellers last night with a menu dedicated to the foods of Saskatchewan. We started with hand-rolled potato ravioli with a fresh vegetables salsa, moved on to chicken breasts on a bed of chickpeas, winding up with saskatoon berry creme brulée. Thanks to Chef Clint and his team at McNallys for a great performance.

My book has landed on the shelves of our local bookstore, McNally Robinson. It's also available at the University of Saskatchewan bookstore and, I believe, Turning the Tide Bookstore in the Broadway neighbouhood.
I hear it's also at Costo in Regina (perhaps Saskatoon, too).
In Regina, it's at the Book and Briar Patch. You can also order it online from the publisher, Coteau Books.

While in Regina this week, I was invited to the set at CTV to tape an episode of the Wheatland Cafe with CJ Katz. We cooked a recipe from the book -- Ricotta Pie. You can't see it in this picture, but the eggs were green!Tune in to see the show:
Wed., May 19, between noon and 1 pm, on CTV stations around Saskatchewan.

Special thanks to Souleio owners and dear friends, Janis and Remi Cousyn, for a wonderful affair, and to Sue Echlin, the best ever MC with her own prairie fruit winery.

Prairie Feast is a bright, five-star salute to all things Saskatchewan. Chronicling local pickle making, down-home recipes, berry picking adventures, and road trips to Saskatchewan food festivals, this book blends a variety of disparate food subjects into one wholesome volume.
